When Life Get Complicated, retreat and hide.......no, try and keep going

So the last time I ran was almost three weeks ago and during that time life got very complicated indeed due to a few family issues.

As a result I found myself sinking under the weight of the problems that I was essentially running on autopilot hoping to get through each day hoping that the following day I could have a bit more energy to go beyond autopilot and be a positive fully engaged active person.

I have found it too easy to retreat, disengage, and lethargic, and boy it is tiring work being tired!

Anyhow, I now clawing my way out of that malaise, and today along with a very gentle three mile run, and I have been out in the garden, cutting through the jungle, I mean cutting the grass.

In a month's time it is the Humpty Dumpty 10k so I am planning when I will be running between now and then in order to be ready as I can for that race.
I renewed focus on what I eat between now and then will support the running, as will doing some exercises - I picked up from the library a Bear Grylls book (Your Life - Train For It) which has a range of bodyweight exercises I can try to build up to doing.

I am aiming to post more frequently to highlight every small "win" that contributes towards a good run on race day next month, and results in new good habits that become installed to a point that it is automatic.
